Build a culture where every Model System team member, educator, and leader acts as a builder: owning the mission, solving problems, and innovating quickly. Use early hires as culture-carriers to embed urgency, ownership, and shared vision and values system-wide.  

Assemble a dream team of mission-driven innovators. Make the Model System a magnet for visionary educators by recruiting beyond traditional pipelines, onboarding intentionally, and engaging talent with transformational professional development and growth opportunities.  

Establish simple, powerful, and scalable systems that run smoothly across schools, reduce administrative burden, and free staff to focus on students. Prioritize only what’s essential to prove viability — polish later. Guard against complexity, mission drift, and premature scaling.  

Develop phased, customized improvement plans for each school, tightly aligned to the Model System’s vision. Focus on the biggest drivers for student and operational gains. Show visible, credible progress at every site.  

Create a visibly more joyful, engaging, and rigorous student experience. Launch and refine a shared learning framework across all schools.  Capture and share early signs of progress to build belief among families, funders, and future staff.  

Earn trust by delivering visible early wins. Over-communicate successes and lessons, nurture key partnerships, and build a growing network of champions. Position the Model System as a credible and inspiring force for educational innovation.   

Translate initial foundation funding and school choice opportunities into a clear financial plan. Hit early sustainability milestones and align budgets tightly to strategic priorities. Build stakeholder confidence that the Model System can thrive long-term
